London Congestion Tax

On 19 February 2007 London's congestion tax zone was extended westwards to cover Kensington and Chelsea despite strong protests from residents and businesses. Needless to say there is no concession anywhere in the zone for goods vehicles, despite the fact that they play a vital role when it comes to keeping the capital functioning.

If you work in London paying £8 a day (or £10 if you pay the next day) can be a real headache and burdensome overhead for your business.

The good news is that certified LPG vans and light commercials are congestion charge exempt! Watch out thought because it looks like Mr Livingstone is planning to hit pick-up users with a punitive £25 per day in the near future (Click here for more information). When will people learn that pick-ups are light commercial vehicles and not SUV's driven by ladies who lunch.
