Ford Fiesta Van Leasing & Contract Hire

The new Fiesta Van was released in Spring 2009 and is based on the three-door version of the fabulous car. The 2009 model available in Base, Trend and SportVan trim levels.

There are also three options of engine - 1.3-litre 82hp petrol, a 1.4-litre 68hp 160Nm turbo diesel and a 1.6-litre 90hp 200Nm turbo diesel. All models are front wheel drive with a five-speed manual gearbox. Both diesels are capable and civilised around town but the 1.4 can run out of gas on the motorway when fully loaded.

Electric power assisted steering is fitted as standard across the range. Stopping power comes via disc brakes at the front with drums at the rear. ABS is also standard across the range and the SportVan models also benefit from ESP.

The 1.0m3 load area is accessed through a wide rear hatch. The load space sports four load-tie rings, a maximum load length of 1,296mm and a width of 1,000mm (between the wheel boxes). For added safety and security, a half-height composite bulkhead protects cab occupants.

Standard specification is high across the range with even Base trim including electric windows, electric door mirrors, height-adjustable steering column and mp3 compatible radio/CD player (3.5mm Aux-In socket is provided to plug in an iPod). The Trend specification adds colour-coded and heated door mirrors with electric folding, front fog lights, a heated windscreen, automatic wipers and automatic headlight activation. The SportVan adds those mandatory alloy wheels, manual air conditioning, Bluetooth connection, sports seats and sports suspension.

Service interval is 12,500 miles and the Fiesta Van comes with a three-year/100,000 mile warranty.
