05 October 2009 - The Government's van Scrappage scheme has been ammended to apply a £2,000 discount on new vans bought when owners trade in vans that are over 8 years old. It will still be a time-limited scheme until March, 2010."
The Government will meet a maximum of 50 per cent (£1,000) with the manufacturers contributing the remaining £1,000 or more if they choose. Eligible "trade-in" vehicles need to be "over 8 years old". However vans that are just under 8 years old can still qualify. The rule is that these ageing vehicles must have been first registered in Britain on or before August 31 2001.
BUT critics say the scheme isn’t generous enough and we at Low Cost Vans agree with this. We have been consistently offering massively discounted prices to our customers long before the scrappage scheme was thought of. We know from experience that there is more money available, try us and find out for yourself.
We will work with the scrappage scheme for our customers who have vans over eight years old. We also want to offer our customers who haven’t got 8 year old vehicles fantastic deals.
Whether you have an older vehicle to part exchange or not we can pass on thousands of £££’s of discount and sell to you the “LOWEST COST VAN”.
