  • Do I have to pay a deposit?

    We can organise no deposit finance or just one payment up front if necessary. Our finance packages are very flexible, currently finance providers will look more favourably on applicants offering higher deposits.

  • Do finance agreements involve a credit check?

    Yes all our contracts are subject to credit approval.

  • Do you do short term hire?

    No, our minimum term is 24 months and we can arrange finance up to 60 months.

  • Will I own the vehicle?

    It depends on your choice of agreement. There are two types of agreement that we can offer. These are usership agreements or ownership agreements.

  • Is RFL included?

    Always for the first 12 months and for the whole agreement if it’s Contract Hire.

  • Do all vehicles have warranty?

    Yes, all vehicles come with full UK and Pan European manufacturer’s warranties. A warranty will be for a minimum of 3 years from the point of registration.

  • When will the first payment be taken?

    During the 1st month after the agreement is signed.

  • Is insurance included?

    No, customers are responsible for the insurance of the vehicles or we will recommend a vehicle insurance provider. We do provide gap insurance, Click Here for more information on gap insurance.

  • How quickly will my vehicle be delivered?

    Vehicle delivery typically takes between 7 and 10 working days once the signed documents are returned to us on stock vehicles. Factory orders are subject to manufactures lead times.

  • Can maintenance be included?

    Maintenance can be added to certain finance products. For clarification speak to one of our trusted Sales Advisers

  • Can I amend the agreed mileage?

    Yes, increasing the excess mileage will affect the monthly payment. You can increase your mileage to avoid excess mileage costs on Contract Hire.

  • Is there an excess mileage charge?

    There is no excess mileage charge on Finance Lease or Hire Purchase, but there is on Contract Hire. However we will advise you on how to set a realistic mileage at the start of the agreement.

    We can obtain an answer for you within a few short hours.

  • Do you take part exchange?

    Yes. We will take anything on wheels in part exchange (or maybe even boats)

  • How will my vehicle be delivered?

    Unless otherwise stated it will be driven free of charge to an address of your choice on mainland UK. We can organise off shore deliveries by arrangement.

  • Is delivery free?

    We deliver all vehicles free of charge on mainland UK.

  • What documents am I required to provide?

    Depending on acceptance, usually driver’s licence and passport.

  • Are the vehicles brand new?

    Yes.

  • How will the payments be taken?

    By Direct Debit Mandate.

  • Can I transfer a private plate to the new vehicle?

    Yes and we can arrange this for you.

  • Can I sign write the vehicle?

    Yes. You will be required to remove the sign writing at the end of a contract hire agreement. We advise vinyl lettering and can recommend sign writers in your area.

  • Is ply lining included?

    No, ply lining is an optional extra but we advise most customers to have it fitted. We can arrange this before the vehicle is delivered to you.

  • What other accessories can I have?

    We have a wide range of optional extras. Please ask the Sales Specialist to quote you for roof racks, racking, tow bars, frails or anything else you may need.

  • Will I hold the V5 registration document?

    This depends on the agreement and the finance provider’s policy. There is a common misconception that the V5 registration document provides proof of ownership. However, the registered keeper is not necessarily the legal owner.

  • Will proof of insurance be required prior to delivery?

    Yes, we need this 48 hours before the vehicle is delivered to you in order to comply with the governments continuous insurance directive.

  • Where are the vehicles stored?

    We have vehicles stored at holding compounds throughout the UK.

  • What happens if I want to terminate the contract?

    Contact Low Cost Vans and request an early termination fee or settlement figure.

  • Can I use any garage for servicing?

    Yes, as long as the garage uses genuine manufacturer’s parts and service schedules to keep the Pan European warranty valid and is VAT registered and this is identified on the invoice unless otherwise stated in the terms of the contract. However we recommend you use a franchised service agent.

  • What happens if there is a problem once my vehicle is delivered?

    Contact the Low Cost Vans After Sales Department and we will rectify any problem or advise you.

  • What paper work will I have to complete?

    We will send you a document pack which is very easy to follow, check and sign the documents and return to us in the pre-paid envelope provided.

  • I am not sure which vehicle is best for me?

    Our sales specialists are trained to find the best vehicle and agreement to suit you and your business needs and will offer you the best advice.

  • Are your vehicles in stock and ready to be delivered?

    Yes, although out stock changes on a daily basis. If you require a special or factory order we can arrange this for you. We have access to thousands of the most popular vehicles. However, if you have specific requirements we can factory order vehicles for you.
